!! Actors
; Primary Actor : taxonomist, systematist, ecologist (anyone who wishes to understand the relationship between taxon concepts according to different authorities

!! Description
A visualisation tool which will display a representation of the classifications (taxa) according to different authoriteis and allow th euser to explore the realationships between the taxa in these classifications.

!! Flow of Events

! Pre-conditions
* The data sets must have a mechanism to allow comparison. This could be an explicit relationship between two taxa, possibly with some sort of qualifier associated with it to indicate degree of similarity. Or it could be based on the overlap of the circumscriptions of the taxa - this is simple as long as a certain level of hierarchical information exists - not straightforward for sepcies unless at least type specimens are recorded in each taxon. this tool can help user decide what mapping should or shouldn't exist between any 2 taxa.

! Basic Flow
# User selects the classifications they are intersted in (authority and taxon (including all sub-taxa)
# SEEK passes XML data set to visualisation tool in agreed format for all classifications of that taxon
# Visualisation tool renders display and provides user with exploratory interaction mechanisms

! Post-conditions

None

! Alternative Flows

!! Further Details
It might be possible to integrate this tool woith the tool for creating mappings between taxa, or at least link it in some way.
