A major goal of SEEK is to inform biologists and ecologists about ecoinformatics. Education, outreach and training has been designed to provide the tools, training, educational materials and forums of communication and collaboration necessary for biologists and ecologists to incorporate ecoinformatics into their research process. To reach this goal SEEK has developed three primary methods of community outreach and collaboration:
Whether on-line or in person, ecoinformatics trainings and seminars provide individuals with the opportunity to learn how to incorporate the techniques and tools of the SEEK cyberinfrastructure into their research.
