Jan 23: 10-12 am, collection comparison. Jim will get 3-5 collection managers, offer lunch and t-shirt.

Our perspective on GUIDs.

GUID meeting
Jessie (concept/name chair), Matt, Stinger, Bob, Steve Perry,
What are Taxon requirements for GUIDs? Who specifies rules, implements business logic and issues guids? Does GBIF have an architecture? Distributed vs centralized GUID server? Important in merging data.
Differentiate between guids for name, concept, specimens, publication? Jessie says we must treat them as different things
