Primary Actor

A data provider, the individual or group that is contributing access to a database that can contribute to the SEEK taxonomic database

Description

Flow of Events

Pre-conditions

• The registry exists
• The user has prvileges for adding an entry to the registry

Basic Flow

1. A data provider creates an entry in the SEEK registry.
2. The registry performs some validation of the entry and if ok, makes the registry entry accessible to SEEK users.
3. SEEK system may do addtional processing of the data service after registration such as harvesting metadata and /or summary statistics.

Post-conditions

None

Alternative Flows

• User may edit an existing entry, which is the same as adding a new entry except the information held in the registry is updated rather than created.RKP - Presumably editing is restricted to the provider & older versions are achived,?
