Activities

Two major areas:

• develop and maintain SEEK web site
• develop knowledge portal for accessing SEEK services
• education and outreach materials

Beach: Need for a web working group so that cross-cutting web dev is a community activity

Matt: SEEK site needs more content - papers etc. Working groups should provide 1/4 summaries etc.

Matt et al: Administrative access details - distributed managment requires a more distributed approach to admin tasks.

General: Need some high profile, multi-media advertisement material for SEEK.

Mark: When interviewing candidates, check if they have multi-media experience to assist with this.

Web Working Group

- Matt, Downie, Kristin, UNM Web Developer, Paul Tooby, Bill M.

Tasks

1. Schildhauer and Michener arrange postdoc $ transfer to UNM
2. Ensure that all participants have Polycom units for telecon
3. Conference call: Probably end of July (Bill M. to arrange)
4. Identify requirements of web presence and appropriate tools (cvs interface, issue tracking, publishing work flow, ...) (Downie + UNM Web Developer)
5. Online course modules for education about how SEEK makes Ecologist's life easier. Prepare online material for January training course.
