Anchored mostly by Taxon and SMS groups. We can invite outsiders and people from other working groups to enhance the collaboration.

Workshop on biodiversity week of 12 Jan, 2005 in UK. They want someone to speak about SEEK - tech aspects - would pay expenses for someone from US if anyone is qualified and interested. JK is currently scheduled to go.

Name work (from TaxonTaskList)

Paul Kirk is unavailable to work with Jessie on this until spring? Decided to continue with ABCD Name elements in TCS for Taxonomic Object Service work with the understanding that this may change in the future. The Linnean core schema has not been finalized, so we will wait until it is more stable to consider incorporating it.

Visualization Tools

What are our objectives for the Feb 15 meeting? Bob (with Nico and Xianhua) will summarize the issues, goals, use cases, etc on the wiki by 24 Nov. He will send out an email when this is available for consideration. The rest of the group can read, comment by email, etc prior to the 15 Dec teleconference.

Other goals from TaxonTaskList

Jessie, Trevor, Robert K, Thau, Robert G., Aimee will put some estimated dates on the task list (esp. considering goals for 15 Feb meeting)

Misc

Linnae project - Informatics infrastructure. How does it relate to SEEK? Any collaboration possibilities?
